Patented Technology for Effortless Opening
Easy-open technologies from Bemis solve the problem of tightly fused package seals that require excess force to open. From shrink bags to standup pouches to formed trays and lids, Bemis offers a convenient opening system.
The latest from Bemis is the EZ Peel® opening feature. This proprietary three-layer system creates effortless peel-away performance with a crisp, clean look—no rips or ragged edges. Consumers can see the hermetic seal release, thanks to whitened effect in the seal area.
EZ Peel’s unique release structure buries a special enhancement feature in the sealant layer, making the lidstock exceptionally machinable under a wide range of processing conditions. It offers a wide heat seal range, delivers an attractive, hermetic seal despite product contamination in the seal area and won’t weld shut like competitive two-layer lid stock systems.
EZ Peel® technology can be applied to a range of package configurations, from shrink packaging to tubs to lid stock for modified-atmosphere trays and semi-rigid webs.

Cook & Peel® – a peelable lidding for cook-in-bag applications, pasteurization and sterilization processing.
Peelathene – a new packaging material designed to provide an easy-to-open top seal on pouches, sachets and bags produced on form/fill/seal equipment. It offers a strong base and side seal, combined with a peelable top. Particularly good for packs of rice, sugar, dried fruit, mixed nuts and pulses.
Peel & Stop® System – a packaging material that delivers an easy-peel opening to a predetermined stop position where the sealing becomes permanent.
Rigid Peel® System – a peel-and-stop opening system with an application of the pattern coating on various rigid supports. Ideal for rigid PVC, APET and PS thermoformed packaging.
Peel-Reseal™ – feature enables consumers to re-close the package. It is the first Peel-Reseal material that seals directly to mono-APET; providing economic and performance advantages versus the typical PET/PE rigid package.
EZ Peel™ to Mono-APET – combines the easy-open feature of EZ Peel™ technology with the recyclability of the rigid film to reduce Grüner Punkt taxation levels. This new pack provides outstanding clarity to enhance the visual impact of the product.
PET Blister Pack Lidding Film– A revolutionary alternative to the traditional paperboard applications for personal care products, cleaning products and air fresheners.
