Heat-Free Solutions for Sensitive Products
Cold seal cohesive materials from Bemis are proprietary packaging structures which seal with pressure alone. When the two separate cohesive surfaces come together, they adhere or “stick” to one another to form a tight, attractive seal. Because no heat is involved, cold seal packaging is ideal for products susceptible to heat damage. Gentler on package contents than traditional heat seal, cold seal materials won’t damage or distort products.
Cold seal offers significant advantages:
- Allows significantly faster filling speeds on packaging lines. Cold Seal does not require dwell time to create the seal; adjusts to changing product feed rates without compromising seal performance; and keeps pace with the machine even when it runs at maximum speed.
- Eliminates package burn-through and makes clean-up of the packaging machine faster and easier.
- Eliminates channel leakers and provides a hermetic seal to extend shelf life and safeguard product freshness.
