EZ Peel™ Delivers Consistent Peelable Seals Every Time!Introducing Bemis' versatile EZ Peel™ range of lidding films and top webs for convenient, easy-to-open packaging solutions for added consumer convenience.

Bemis' innovative EZ Peel™ films ensure that packs of processed meat, sliced cheese and ready meals are hermetically sealed and easily opened - every time, without tearing, thanks to its unique release structure.

Unlike conventional 2 layer structures which use "contaminated sealants" where peel force changes with machine settings, Bemis uses "fusion sealing" technology which functions independently of dwell time and temperature. The peelable layer is engineered into the core of the structure to produce a controlled delamination where the hermetic seal is released to reveal a "whitening effect" when the pack is opened. Fusion sealing technology guarantees hermetic seals, even through contamination to create an attractive, peel-away lid with a crisp, clean look-no rips or ragged edges.

Available in foil, clear or opaque films, EZ Peel™ technology can be applied to a range of package configurations, from shrink packaging to tubs, lidding films for modified atmosphere trays and semi-rigid webs. Large printing areas provide greater branding opportunities for eye-catching designs to enhance consumer appeal and increase visibility on retail shelves without adding significantly to packaging costs.

Bemis' EZ Peel™ films perform equally well as conventional hard seal films on existing packaging equipment without modifications or affecting line speeds. Consistent seals are achieved across a relatively wide sealing area with no effect upon the hermeticity around the package and can be incorporated into a pre-formed tray to accommodate different production or machine requirements.
